Rockstar in Taipei (Part 1)

This ain’t a spur of the moment thing, this trip took years of wishing and hoping that they’d lift the visa policy for Filipinos. And when they did, it took another year of dreaming before the trip actually came to life. So we basically decided to schedule the trip during their National Day, also known as Double Ten which happens every October 10. We thought it’d be the best time coz it would mean we’ll get to see their military

Chillin’ at the Cliff House

Just another lazy afternoon at the Cliff House in Valencia. We’ve seen several Facebook posts featuring this place we decided to check it out. Cliff House is being hosted by Jenny at Airbnb (check the property in Airbnb here). It had great reviews in Airbnb and Facebook so we decided to check this out. This property is booked most of the time and luckily we were able to grab an available weekend. Xavy spent weeks checking Google maps surrounding the

Quick getaway at Azalea Mountain Inn

We took a few hours off from city life and took the off beaten path to this restaurant perched 200+ meters above sea level on a mountain slope overlooking the town of San Jose (I can only guess :P). Azalea is a quiet getaway. It’s located the same route going to Alimyon and Lake Balinsasayao. The place is not crowded, very few customers so it’s a great choice if you need to just drown in a book and some coffee.

6th birthday at Little Giants

6 years! Yung feeling na parang ang bilis ng panahon pero minsan ang bagal din. It’s been another year of ups and downs but we’ve been blessed with so much. Ang daming nangyari pero mas nakaka-amaze yung ang daming blessings that the heavens poured our way. Last year we celebrated his birthday sa school. But this year, he’s been planning to have it at Little Giants after he got invited to one of his classmate’s birthday held at the same

Visiting Simala Shrine, Cebu

Before Xavy’s birthday, we decided to visit the miraculous Simala Shrine in Cebu. Xavy has never been to this place so it was about time we checked it out and say our prayers. We’re Christians but we’ve never been the church-going type of bunch, we say our prayers and we always try our best to be kind to everyone, to live by Papa Jesus’ teachings everyday. Once in a while we’d light candles and say our prayers at the Cathedral.

Coffee anyone?

Xavy never got to enjoy his semestral break as he got sick the whole time. So the past few days, we’ve been going out and trying new places. He’s been checking out Coffee Grove in Google Maps and has been rambling about going to Balayag-Manok (where this place is located). So we checked it out.  We found the place surprisingly nice! The prices are also very affordable. The best para sa amin is that the owner is nice, she’s very

Weekend and long drives

Yung feeling that you’re missing out on life because you’ve been working like crazy for the past few months. It’s just been a series of meeting deadlines, meetings and making sure that everyone at work is up and running and that the rest of your team is happy with their jobs. One of the things that I learned (the hard way) is that you have to take care of yourself first. I hope it doesn’t sound as selfish as it

Mabinay – reminiscing..

Mabinay for the weekend – a trip to memory lane. This was a place with quite a lot of firsts for us. Our first job brought us to this place a years back (let’s just skip the exact number of years). Like the place back then, we were unexploited, innocent and carefree (ki-at ra ang naa sa hunahuna :) ). We only worried about stuff like asa na pud maglaag after work and unsay sud-an for lunch. Asa ang pista

X Chronicles – some Tejero fambam fun

Xavier’s 3rd summer and I figured it was about time he gets to experience sun burnt skin and enjoy hours of water splashing. It was something I was really excited about, he was excited about getting all these new stuff too, clueless what they were for actually. And so after a week of planning where and what to bring, we were set to go! Our first time at Tejero Highland Resort and Adventure Park. They recently had their anniversary so
