Hi, I’m Xavy’s Mom — a Bisaya solo mom, a self-confessed KDrama addict, and the person behind this little corner of the internet.

I started this blog years ago as a way to document my life — the messy, beautiful, sometimes overwhelming reality of raising a kid on my own. What began as a personal journal slowly grew into something bigger: a space where I share the real, unfiltered side of solo parenthood, honest drama reviews, travel adventures, and the occasional life hack that keeps our household from completely falling apart.

Our little crew

It’s just the three of us at home — well, five, if you count the dogs.

Xavy is 13 now and somehow taller than I expected. He’s the reason this blog exists, the reason I function on very little sleep, and honestly, my greatest source of both chaos and joy.

Kai is our Shepinois — all energy, all loyalty, all the time. Brownie is our Shih Tzu who has absolutely no idea he is small and rules the house accordingly. Together they keep things loud and lively, which is exactly how we like it.

We split our time between the Philippines and Australia, which means this blog is equal parts tropical chaos and Southern Hemisphere adventures.

What you'll find here

Drama reviews — I watch a lot of KDramas and CDramas. A lot. Every review comes with my honest verdict, a score, and a one-liner so you know exactly what you’re getting into before you commit 16 episodes of your life to something.

Solo mom real talk — the stuff nobody tells you about raising a teenager alone, managing finances as a single income household, navigating government processes, and finding joy in the middle of the hard stuff.

Travel and tutorials — from applying for Australian visas as a Filipino tourist to budget travel tips for solo parents, I share the practical guides I wish existed when I was figuring things out myself.

Why this blog

Because when I was in the thick of solo parenthood — exhausted, figuring it out, Googling everything at midnight — I wanted to read something written by someone who actually lived it. Not a perfectly curated highlight reel, but real life with real solutions and a few good drama recommendations on the side.
That’s what Xavy & Mom is. A space for moms like me — and anyone who loves a good story, whether it’s their own or one streaming on Netflix.

Let's work together

I’m open to brand collaborations, sponsored content, and partnerships that align with my audience — solo parents, Filipino travelers, and passionate drama fans across the Philippines and Australia. If that sounds like a fit, I’d love to hear from you.
