Finally, some time to catch up on my Korean shows. It’s been quite some time since I watched one, except Alchemy of Souls, that’s an exemption and I promise to make a post about it soon.
“Payback” follows the revenge story of a group of people—including Eun Yong, a money trader—who refuses to remain silent in the face of unjust authorities and fight against a cartel conspiring with the law.

First impressions:
This is a highly recommended show by AQ. I’ve only seen 2 episodes so far and I am getting hooked. Kaya lang, I am a bit regretful that I started coz now I have to wait since this is still ongoing.
So just a bit of what this is about. It’s about revenge and I don’t think there’s any romantic plot on this one. The male lead is the guy from Coffee Prince while the female lead is the one from Flower of Evil. The past 2 episodes kept jumping from the past and the present. Some might find it confusing but for me, the transition of the timelines is smooth. Some dramas, when they transition timelines, nakaka-confuse, it’s like you have to remind yourself that wait this is now showing the present events.
The pacing of the story is also good. Maybe because there are only 12 episodes? I kinda get the feeling that the male lead will die at the end. It’s giving me The Guardians vibe.
