Escaping from reality – “burnt out” moment of a single mom.

Being a single mom with 2 jobs can be pretty exhausting. I have to admit that there are days when I just want to give up and hide away from reality. But then again, I have to be positive and just make the best of what I have. I’m sure a lot of moms out there can so relate to moments like, this feeling is not something that is exclusive to single moms.

So how do I deal with moments like this? Okay, I do escape from reality but just for an hour or two to recharge. One of my usual hideout is the Grand Royal Spa.

Nothing really fancy about the place, in fact I think the place is too small for a spa. But I’m not really particular about that, I prefer something convenient and excellent masseur. And Grand Royal Spa just have that. It’s about 50 meters away from my office (not much of a hideout I suppose) so it’s very convenient, a lunch break of an hour and thirty is more than enough for me to grab a body massage.

My usual ingredients for recharging however is not just a body massage. I’d usually grab their body massage (P300) and foot spa (P220). Normally, I’d choose hard pressure for the massage when I feel like extremely burnt out. But if I feel like I just needed to relax, I’d ask for the medium pressure. They provide Swedish body massage which lasts for an hour. After which I’d have my foot spa. The best part of getting the foot spa for me is that the skin on my feet is thin so in like 10 minutes, it’s done. So they’d normally give me the foot massage after (which should be another service by the way). So I usually get foot spa + foot massage for the price of the foot spa only. It’s a good deal.

So, just a tip for those new single moms, there will be days or nights when you feel like just leaving everything and take back that happy go lucky life you used to have. That’s normal and we all go through that. Just take a deep breath and probably 500 bucks, drive to the closest spa you can find and relax for an hour or two. Cause the way I roll, nothing is more relaxing than getting a body message with the aroma of eucalyptus oil, just enough for me to recharge and take on the challenges the world can offer again.

  3. This design is incredible! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your photos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
